I, the founder of the Quran Hour, really felt the need to do something when I realised my younger brother had stopped attending the Masjid. After discussing this with my parents, I came to realise the real problem: my parents did not have the time to drop off my younger brother at the masjid and pick him up! Furthermore, my brother had the additional stress of his GCSEs that made spending 2 hours in the Masjid every day difficult. I quickly realised that this was becoming the case for a lot of Muslim children.
This scenario made me realise that I had to help fix this problem.
The Quran Hour was founded on three simple premises: learning the Qur’an should be quick, efficient and easy to access.
Quick: We have created courses that only take 30 minutes for each class and only require a maximum of 3 classes during the week.
Efficient: We provide the best teachers who are handpicked from the Middle-East with an Ijazah to teach the Quran, who will teach your child on a one-to-one basis. Furthermore, we have created our courses in stages that are structured in order to achieve the ultimate results.
Easy: No need to drop your child off to the Masjid and pick them up! All you need is a computer (or their favourite tablet) and a good internet connection and we will take it from there.
Considering these three factors, our Quran learning platform is the best and most efficient means of connecting your children with the Quran.
The Quran Hour does not want to make things complicated. We have a handful of courses that each have their own clearly defined goals.
All of our courses are focused on learning the Quran, and are intended for children from the age of 5 to 15 years. However, if people wish to benefit from our courses above this age range, they are more than welcome to join.
Our programmes have set curriculums and each child is assessed every month so that you are able to keep track of their progress.
All of our tutors are qualified people who are natives to the Middle-East. Every one of our tutors speaks fluent English and has experience with teaching.
We ensure that all teachers we choose pass our safeguarding standards in order to create a safe and comfortable environment for your child.
