There are very many online Quran tutors to choose from however, due to the sheer amount of tutors, it can be very difficult to choose the 'right' one. In this article, we will help you to find that 'right' tutor for your child's online Quran classes.

Country of origin

This really depends but if you asked us, the best place to look for a Quran tutor would either be Egypt or the UK. Egypt is where the worlds best Quran reciters come from. If you want your child to read the Quran like a pro, then there's none better than the Egyptians.

The UK is also a great place to look. Many Quran teachers who have qualifications are qualified from well reputed institutes in the UK. However, the price tag will be much steeper than that of a teacher from Egypt.

Language of communication

If you're looking for someone that speaks English , then a tutor from the UK will be your best option. Having said this, you will find that a lot of tutors from Egypt have a good grip of the English language. However, be warned, many also do not speak English well so before signing up to any online Quran institute, make sure the language you want them to speak to you or your child is coherent!

Qualifications

This is probably the most important aspect. There are very many tutors out there that have zero qualifications and are self-taught. That's totally fine as being self-taught and teaching can work but if you are looking for quality, it is always best to go for someone who has officially qualified.

The reason for why the Egyptian system is well reputed is because of their qualification process. A well qualified teacher of the Quran would have an Ijaza from Egypt. An Ijaza is a permission that a person gets from another person who has been given permission. It is a very rigorous system.

Price

If you go solely by price, then you'll find that teachers from Pakistan will teach for as little as £1 an hour. As great as that may sound, a lot of the tutors from those areas have no qualification and neither do they speak proper English. The 2nd best option in terms of price would be Egyptian teachers who can provide their services for £3-4 an hour.

Final thoughts

If you consider all avenues mentioned above, the best place to find a teacher would be a teacher from Egypt. However, your search doesn't just stop there as you will need to find a teacher that speaks the language you need them to and also to make sure they are qualified in teaching the Quran and if they have any experience in teaching a child!

The Quran Hour takes the above categories very seriously and vets their teachers accordingly. Its why The Quran Hour has one of the best teachers so if you have a child, don't forget to contact them!
