Why is an Online Tajweed class important?

Tajweed is the pronunciation of the Arabic words when they are put together. Arabic is a much more complex language than English where the words in of themselves do not change meaning depending on how you pronounce them. Fusha

In general, if you went to a middle eastern country, pronouncing words the correct way is not common. In fact, if you start to pronounce the words the way they are supposed to be pronounced, people will see it as a strange thing. The reason for this is because it is only classical Arabic , Fusha, which was pronounced precisely.

Fusha is the Arabic dialect the Quran and was revealed in. Classical Arabic was what was spoken 1400 years ago when the prophet Muhammad (SAW) was still alive. Moreover, poetry was also written and recited in classical Arabic.

Many of the Fusha words are very dependant on pronunciation.

Changing of the meaning

There are many letters that use the same vocals but have a different way to pronounce the word. For example, a Kaaf and Khaf use the same vocals but one uses the throat whereas, the other uses just the mouth. Just these differences can change the whole meaning of the verse!

In the end, the word of Allah should be pronounced the correct and clear way. If we are to respect the word of Allah, the least we can do is read it the right and proper way.
