The Quran has been revealed for the whole of mankind to deliver a very important message. That message is to worship Allah and Allah alone. However, there is more to the Quran that just that. The Quran comes with many more benefits which we will be discussing in this blog.

The Message

The main purpose of the Quran was to deliver a message and that message is everlasting. The message of the oneness of Allah and how to worship him. It is important that we remind ourselves and our kids of this message on a daily basis. There is much that we do not know and much we need to learn and reading the Quran on a daily basis helps us to cover much of what we don't know of Islam.

Reward

The prophet of Allah Muhammad (S.A.W) mentioned that reading the Quran gains you reward. A hadith in Al-Tirmizi says “Whoever reads a letter from the Book of Allah will have a reward. And that reward will be multiplied by ten.'' Therefore, reading the Quran will gain you and your children rewards if you recite the Quran on a daily basis.

Closer to Allah

The Quran is a vessel that brings us together to Allah. The Quran is the word of Allah so by repeating them even if you do not understand them will make you closer to Allah. Better yet, to bring your family together and closer to Allah, one must make his or her family read the Quran on a daily basis.

Anchoring one to the religion

Similar to the above, to help keep Islam with in your family, it is important you make it a habit in your family to read the Quran. Even if one does not know the meaning of the Quran, one can still benefit from the unity that the Quran brings when recited.

Final thoughts

The Quran has many benefits so one should make the most of them by making it a daily occurrence in their daily life.
