Do you remember the old days where every Muslim in the UK was expected to attend the masjid every day for 2 hours? Looking back, I find it to be some of the most interesting times I have had. In this article I will discuss why madrassas have become so unpopular and why people are heading towards online Quran classes.

Convenience

Did you know that by 2030, 80% of mums and dads will be full-time workers. That means parents won't have the time to pick and drop their children off to Madrassas. Time has changed and people are now looking for other outlets. Online Quran classes for kids being the most popular options. The inconvenience of picking and dropping children has turned a lot of parents away from Madarassas.

Teaching methods

I don't know if you remember, but teaching methods for me were quite dramatic! Madrassas disciplined children with whips and beatings. A lot of those children have grown up to be parents themselves and being in the progressive era, don't want to see their child go through similar situations. This has caused many children to stop going to madrassas altogether.

Online Quran classes for children has put a stop to anything like the above happening. Everything is online so there can be no physical discipline taking place.

Quality teachers

We all know Egypt is the hub of the Quran but because we live in the UK we aren't able to travel all the way there to get taught the way the Egyptians teach. We have had to stick to our local madrassas which are good in of themselves. However, with online Quran classes, it has allowed people to connect with teachers in Egypt virtually and to benefit from them.

Final Thoughts

The madrassa is becoming something of the past especially for kids who aren't looking to study Islam in an advanced fashion. For those looking for a basic understanding, online Quran classes for children is the way forward.
